An update on our main runway maintenance

Recent weather has delayed our planned main runway maintenance. As this work can only be carried out safely in suitable conditions, the maintenance period has been extended.

Works may take place between now and Friday 30 October, from 7:30pm to 5:30am, weather permitting.

As with the earlier works, some flights may use our East-West runway during maintenance. This means aircraft may be seen or heard over parts of the city overnight, including when there is no nor-west wind.

The work is planned around scheduled flights, so no flight disruptions are expected.

We appreciate the community’s continued patience and understanding while we complete this essential maintenance.
